The Florida's Eden plan has been developed by the Artists Alliance of North Florida as an open, citizen- and business-based vehicle for the building of a sustainable creative economy for a thirty county region of North Florida.

FLORIDA'S EDEN IS A PLACE, A PLAN, AND A LIVING HERITAGE

North Florida encompasses an amazing constellation of rivers, springs, subterranean waterways, and two coastlines.

Residents, travellers and visitors have sought out the inspiring and rejuvinating qualities of the region for centuries. Writers have referred to the area as “Florida’s Eden” for over 200 years.

The waters, flora and fauna of this thirty county region still retain their wildness and mystery. Today rural areas, small towns, and cities are all seeking a future that retains the beauty and heritage of the region while bringing greater prosperity to their residents.

Through the development of a creative economy the Florida's Eden plan links the preservation of our natural and cultural resources with greater economic vitality for everyone in North Florida.

Utilizing our core creative and nature based industries in a sustainable manner the plan considers longterm, twenty and thirty year goals.

The goal is to build the communities we actually want for ourselves and our children, including: meaningful work, improved quality of life, authenticity in our communities, all amidst the natural beauty of Florida's Eden.
