6 GUIDING PRINCIPLES

Key to the success of the Florida's Eden plan and the work of the AAONF are our six guiding principles:

INCLUSIVE :: everyone has something vital to contribute.
PARTNERSHIPS :: we can only succeed if we work together; everyone comes to the table with their assets and needs.
REGIONAL :: we work for the good of our entire region; the people of the region serve as their own best resource.
SUSTAINABLE :: longterm solutions consistent with twenty year goals defined by the participant groups.
COMMUNITY BASED :: each community defines for itself its needs, resources and how it fits into the strategic plan.
SELF - SUSTAINING :: projects must fit into ongoing institutions or be financially self-sustaining.
